Jessica’s Dandy Day Inspiration!

Good morning! Jess here with a card for our current Bring It Back challenge! I love the new Dandy Day set and thought it would be perfect to pair it with a little flocking powder!

To start I blended tumbled glass, salty ocean, twisted citron, and bundled sage distress oxide inks onto a panel of white cardstock. I splattered the panel with water and salty ocean and bundled sage ink and let it dry. Next I stamped lots of images from Dandy Day with Versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with Copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.

Next I stamped the sentiment and dandelion seeds onto the blended panel with Versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I arranged my flowers and mice onto my scene and started adhering them with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape. Once everything was adhered I trimmed off any excess hanging off the edges. Next I applied a thin layer of crystal glaze to all of the dandelion puffballs and seeds. I sprinkled them with a tiny pinch of Chunky and a Prisma glitter and then filled all the rest of the glaze with white flocking powder. I used a finger to lightly press everything into the crystal glaze, let it dry completely, and then carefully brushed off the excess glitter and flocking powder. I love the subtle sparkle and texture it gives to the dandelions! And the crystal glaze is GREAT at really holding everything in place so it doesn’t flake off!

And that’s it! You have one more week to get crafty for the Bring it Back challenge and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing weekend!
