A Super Happy Holiday Critter Card with Christy

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Happy Holiday Critters Challenge! I love making scene cards, and I combined so many different sets into this one. I used Beary Happy Holidays, Cheery Christmas, Mice on Ice, Holiday Helpers, Yeti or Not, and Simply Celebrate Winter. I colored all my images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I used a piece of bokeh paper from the Snow Day Remix 6×6 pad for the sky. I added stitching detail to the edges with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, then added some tree silhouettes with the Stitched Tree Border. Overtop of that, I layered two Stitched Hillside Borders, one glued flat to the card, and the other popped up with foam tape.

I cut out an icy pond using the Bayou Backdrop and heat embossed a little swirl of ice skating tracks from Mice on Ice. I added that to the lower left corner of the card. Then I added my images into the scene with a combo of liquid glue and foam tape.

The little snowman was from Simply Celebrate Winter. I just masked him off from the rest of his friends when stamping and used the dies to cut out most of him, and my Cutter Bee scissors to trim down the rest.

To finish things off, I added a sentiment stamped in Bubblegum Ink and trimmed out with an Everyday Sentiment Banner, and a bit of Stardust Stickles for a little sparkle.

I also finished off the inside using Simply Celebrate Winter, which you can check out in the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.

The Happy Holiday Critters challenge will be open until Sunday December 6 at 11:59PM ET. We hope you will join us!

A Magical Christmas Card with Samantha

Samantha M shares a beautiful Christmas card with magical Happy Holiday Critters to inspire you today!

Samantha’s sleigh pulled tiny unicorns is so clever! These magical critters are right at home above the white and vellum Puffy Cloud Borders! Samantha combined unicorns from Unicorn Picnic, Winter Unicorn and A Little Sparkle to pull the sleigh from Ho-Ho-Holidays.

How cute is that unicorn riding in the sleigh?

To add even more magical detail, Samantha used the Snowflake Trio Stencil to add pretty snowflakes with white embossing paste.

Thanks so much for sharing this brilliant inspiration with us, Samantha!

The Happy Holiday Critters challenge runs for 3 weeks and will be open until Sunday December 6! We can’t wait to see what you will create!

Stirring Up Holiday Critter Fun in the Kitchen with Jess!

We hope you are having fun with the Happy Holiday Critters challenge! It will be open for 2 more weeks so you have plenty of time to get crafty with your critter sets and play along!

Good morning! Jess here with a card for our current Holiday Critters challenge! This is such a fun way to focus on all the adorable critters Lawn Fawn has to offer!

To start I blended Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink over the Brick stencil onto a panel of Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock focusing the color on the top right of each brick to give it a little color. I wanted the effect of white subway tiles in my kitchen scene! Next I used Copic markers to sketch a granite countertop and adhered it to the brick background panel.

Then I stamped a bunch of images from A Creature was Stirring, Baked with Love, and Sprinkled with Joy using Copic-friendly Jet Black ink and then colored them with Copic markers. I die-cut them with the coordinating dies and added a few accents with a white gel pen.

I arranged all the images onto my kitchen scene and adhered them with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape for a little extra dimension. Then I die-cut the Mini String of Lights from white cardstock and silver glitter cardstock. I colored the light bulbs with Copic markers and then adhered them to the silver light strand. I adhered them to the scene and then added a sentiment from A Creature was Stirring heat-embossed on black cardstock. Once everything was adhered I added a little glitter to the lights and coated them with Nuvo crystal glaze for shine. Finally I finished the card by adding a little grit paste to the spoons and scene for a little messy frosting! đŸ˜‰

And that’s it! You have two more weeks to get crafty and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!

Jess
