Jessica’s Screen Time Card

Good morning! Jess here with a card for our current Cards For Guys challenge! My husband happens to have a birthday this month so this was the perfect opportunity to create a card for my favorite gaming nerd! 😉

To start I stamped the images from Screen Time and Christmas Dreams with Versafine and colored them with Copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. We have a tortoiseshell cat and two Shelties and I tried my hardest to color the animals similar to our pets. In the future I’ll have to remember to pick boring colored pets because merles and torties are HARD to color! Ha! I also stamped the sentiment from Screen Time onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a thin label.

Next I created my husband’s very 90s childhood bedroom with some plaid and woodgrain patterned paper using Knock on Wood and Perfectly Plaid Chill! I die-cut them with a Stitched Rectangle die and adhered them to a card base to create the room. Then I simply layered the images with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape for a little dimension. I kept it simple (and non-sparkly) and just finished the card with a few white gel pen accents!

And that’s it! You have one more weekend to get crafty and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!
Jess

A Yeti or Not Design with Franci!

Franci created whimsical holiday cards featuring our charming Yeti or Not critter! She used a fun color palette and a clever Offset Sayings: Christmas “tree” as inspiration for our Cards for Guys challenge!

This is such a fun holiday card design, perfect for making multiples for family and friends! Franci stamped the words from Offset Sayings: Christmas in the shape of a tree then she added the star tree-topper from Christmas Dreams!

She did some simple ink-blending, then attached the cute yeti, snowflakes and gift package! Everything is in a fresh and fun pastel color palette that is so happy!

Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with us today, Franci!

Our Cards for Guys challenge will continue through Sunday, November 17 at 11:59PM ET. We hope you will join the fun!

Samantha’s Critters in the Wild Card!

You are invited to join us for Fawny Holiday Week! It’s our annual holiday party at the Lawn Fawn blog! All of our Design Teams will be sharing amazing holiday inspiration, and we will have videos and daily giveaways! There may even a surprise, too! Fawny Holiday Week starts on Monday, November 11 and we can’t wait!

Hey everyone, Samantha here with a card that is inspired by the current Lawn Fawnatics Cards for Guys Challenge. One of my favorite techniques for masculine cards is stamping and coloring on kraft cardstock because it immediately gives a warm and rustic feel to your project. I combined the moose from Critters in the Arctic with the bear and bird from Love You S’more!

I created the sky by blending different Distress Oxide ink colors together. I layered the Stitched Mountain Borders on top of the sky of dimension. I die cut the Meadow Border from Sage Leaf cardstock and added some individual grass from the Dad + Me coordinating die set. For additional depth, I added foam squares under my stamped images. Just by adding dimension to your project, any scene you create really comes to life.

There is still plenty of time to enter the Cards for Guys Challenge! The challenge is open until Sunday, November 17 11:59PM ET. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
