Christy’s Letters with Lots of Heart Inspiration

We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the Lots of Heart challenge post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. The Lots of Heart challenge will run for 3 weeks and be open until Sunday, February 6th at 11:59PM ET.

Hey friends, it’s Christy with another card for our Lots of Heart Challenge!

For this one, I started by stamping out the mice and envelopes from You Autumn Know and Love Letters in Jet Black Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I wanted to create a background that resembled an air mail envelope. I started with a Blue Jay card base. Then I die cut the Peppermint Stripes Backdrop out of Specked Eggshell and Chili Pepper cardstocks. I used glue to attach the Speckled Eggshell frame to the Blue Jay card base and then filled in the stripes with Chili Pepper.

For the focal panel, I wanted something that resembled a postage stamp, so I die cut more Speckled Eggshell cardstock with the Zig Zag Rectangle Stackables. I stamped a sentiment at the top right in Deep Sea ink and adhered my images with liquid glue. I popped that up on the card with foam tape. As a finishing touch, I stamped a few tiny hearts in Bubblegum ink and added a bit of Star Dust Stickles to the heart seals and stamp on the envelopes.

If you’d like to see how this card came together, you can check out the video tutorial as part of my Valentine Card Series on my YouTube Channel, Christy Gets Crafty. If you haven’t yet entered our Lots of Heart Challenge, there is still another week! We can’t wait to see what projects you’ll come up with!

Christy’s Glittery Happy New Year Card

Our Happy New Year Inspiration Board Challenge 115 will be open until Sunday, January 2nd at 11:59PM ET. We hope the beautiful photos and theme will inspire you and you will join us! Click HERE to go to the challenge post to enter your project!

Hey friends, it’s Christy with another card for our Inspiration Board Challenge! My first card was inspired by the photo in the lower right corner. This time I wanted to go with the black, silver, and gold tones in some of the other photos.

I started by stamping out my Scent with Love skunks and Joy to All banners with Jet Black Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I created a focal panel with some Let it Shine Snowflakes patterned paper and a little bit of Narwhal for the floor. I added my images and a little “disco ball” cut from silver sparkle cardstock from the Holiday pack.

I scored and folded a panel of Black Licorice Cardstock into a standard A2 size card, then adhered some Metallic Silver cardstock which I die cut with the Peppermint Stripes Backdrop. I filled in the small stripes with gold sparkle cardstock.

Then I popped up my focal panel with foam tape, and gold heat embossed a sentiment from Merry Messages onto more Black Licorice cardstock and trimmed it down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. I finished off the card with some gold sequins and filled in their centers with Stardust Stickles.
