We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

We are welcoming a special guest designer for this challenge! Mayra Duran-Hernandez creates gorgeous cards and crafty projects and we just love how she makes Lawn Fawn products shine! Be sure to check out her creativity on Instagram and her blog!

For her interactive project, Mayra didn’t stop at just one moving part! She created a pirate themed card using the Slide on Over Maze as a shaker for her card front. I love that she used the Stitched Pond to create the look of an island!

As the card opens the full picture comes to life with cute snapshots on the Pivot Pop-Up! There’s even a Lift the Flap Circle, I wonder if there’s a treasure under there!

This amazing card uses a ton of stamp sets and die sets, it’s clear that Mayra had a blast creating every component! Please check out her blog, Mayras Designs for all the details and the complete supply list!

Now let’s check in with our amazing Design Team!

Jessica‘s gorgeous card uses the Magic Picture Changer to create this amazing star-filled nighttime scene! This beautiful design features Upon a Star!

Samantha combined the Magic Iris and Magic Iris Add-On with You’re Just My Type to reveal a sweet hidden message! The additional mice are from Dandy Day and Love Poems!

Christy‘s beautiful shaker card features the Really High Five fox and mouse! She created the shakers from Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables! The lovely clouds in the background are inked with the Cloudy Stencil!

Joyce‘s beautiful Reveal Wheel is definitely no ordinary card! Her whimsical scene combines Peacock Before ‘n Afters with colorful mushrooms and happy little birds!

Samantha created a fun pond scene by combining Toadally Awesome with the Bayou Backdrop! Her interactive elements are the tree stump and rock from Lift the Flap Meadow concealing two cute little frogs!

Franci‘s happy little herd from Hay There have assembled to celebrate a birthday! The clever Magic Picture Changer allows them to party from day to night!

Karin‘s cute Winter Skies fox and bear are sending a sweet “I love you” with the help of the Magic Iris and Magic Iris Add-On! The pretty pink backdrop is courtesy of Dandy Day 6×6 papers!

The cute Car Critters bears are out for a countryside drive, listening to music and enjoying an adventure with the help of the Reveal Wheel Car Critters Add-On! Caly‘s Reveal Wheel design also uses Stitched Mountain Borders and trees from Happy Village and Winter Skies!

No surprise here! Jenn‘s fantastic card features the Yeti or Not critters celebrating a birthday at the beach! The surprise is on the inside with the Pivot Pop-Up!

Caly’s Magic Picture Changer Birthday Card

Hi Friends! It’s Caly with you today and we’re continuing to celebrate Lawn Fawn’s 10th birthday with the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Birthday Theme! Today’s card features the Magic Picture Changer using the Birthday Before ‘n Afters set as well as the Baked With Love set.

I started by stamping and coloring my images. For the magic picture changer images, I stamped a second time on masking paper and masked off my images to ink-blend the backgrounds with Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks before removing and coloring with Copic markers.

Copics used:
Cake: E50, E53
Pinks: R81, R83, R85, R89
Oranges/Yellows: Y02, Y35, YR68
Greens: YG05, YG09
Teals: BG11, BG13
Blues: BG01, BG05
Purples: V05, V09
Grays: C0, C2, C4

Once everything was colored, I die-cut my images and Magic Picture Changer and assembled using 1/8” strong double sided adhesive. To frame my magic picture changer and for the background, I used patterned paper from the Hello Sunshine Remix Petite Paper Pack.

I love the cake changing from an uncut cake to a slice taken out to reveal the rainbow layers! I added foam adhesive to the back of the Magic Picture Changer and adhered it over a second piece of patterned paper from the same paper pack that coordinated with the first piece that I used. I die-cut a stitched pattern around the outside using the Outside In Stitched Rectangles dies.

To complete my card today, I embossed my sentiment over Mermaid cardstock using white cardstock. To help give it more color, I ink-blended Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink at the ends of my sentiment strips before adhering them to my card.

I hope you enjoyed this card! I always have so much fun making interactive cards with Lawn Fawn’s clever dies! Don’t forget that this challenge ends April 5th at 11:59pm PST! There’s still some time to celebrate Lawn Fawn’s birthday with us!

Have a great day, everyone!
~Caly
