Hi Friends, Sam here! One of my favorite movies to watch is the Emperor’s New Groove! I have seen it countless times. One time when my back went out, I even watched it over and over and over while my
husband was at work, and I couldn’t get up to change the DVD player! (I’m aging myself, I know! lol) Despite having seen it so many times, it still cracks me up so hard that I cry! So it seemed perfect to use it as inspiration for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge!

I used the llama from Llama Tell You and the jar from How You Bean? to create my own potion
bottle! I colored it in with hot pinks and wild purples (the same color as the ‘poison’ in the movie,
of course). I actually used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color all of the images! The
kitten is from Purrfectly Wicked, and she was colored to mimic Yzma (who turns into a cute and
cuddly kitten at the end of the movie)!

I thought the Flippy Flappy die would be perfect to deliver the punchline of the joke! It’s just so
funny! I can hear Yzma saying it so clearly in my head!

I stamped the sentiments with Harold’s ABCs and heat embossed them with white embossing powder onto Black Licorice Cardstock.

Thank you so much for this delightful inspiration, Samantha!

Now let’s check out the amazing inspiration by our Design Team!

Karin‘s rainbow trees are from our Snow Day stamp set! That pretty greeting is also found in this cute and classic set! This is such a beautiful slimline design!

Samantha backed her charming Christmas Fishes seaweed tree with lots of sparkle! Her cute little scene includes the happy Winter Narwhal!

Franci‘s whimsical little scene features the tree from Christmas Dreams. I think those cute Snow Cool penguins might have some trouble fitting it inside their home! That perfect greeting is from Merry Messages!

I love how Caly made the tree cookies the star of her card! This adorable design features How You Bean? and the Christmas Cookie Add-On! She created a kitchen counter backdrop with the Brick Stencil and Woodgrain cardstock!

Samantha M created a gorgeous rainbow of trees from the Snow Day set! The beautiful sentiment is from that set as well. She added pretty texture in the background with Snowflake Trio Stencil!

Joyce made her Christmas Dreams tree stand out with some beautiful ink blending with Victorian Velvet and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink! The cute Cheery Christmas critters are busy trimming the tree!

Christy‘s warm and rosy scene is a combination of Christmas Dreams and Den Sweet Den! The pretty tree takes center stage inside the Stitched Den!

Jessica‘s underwater scene shines the spotlight on the unique Christmas Fishes tree! She combined lots of fish-filled sets to complete this festive holiday gathering!

Jenn‘s gorgeous design features the sweet Christmas tree from the Trim the Tree set! She used her inky magic with Distress regular and oxide inks on the tree and the colorful background. She finished the card with a sentiment from Winter Scripty Sentiments and the Snowflake Border!

Mayra’s Interactive Toy Story Trio of Cards

Hi Fawnatics friends! Today we are featuring three amazing interactive cards by our talented Guest Designer, Mayra to inspire your creativity!

Mayra created this trio of fabulous cards with a Toy Story theme! She made a Magic Iris card, a shaker/slider card and an adorable pop-up design! I love how Mayra used tiny clouds from Pivot Pop-Up to decorate the Andy’s room scene on the cover of the pop-up card! How cute that she included the desk from You’re Just My Type!

Mayra combined images from lots of different sets to create this amazing western scene! In the background are Stitched Mountain Borders, then Stitched Hillside Borders with some cute cactus from Stuck on You and Year Ten! The sheriff office is created using the Build-A-House die set and the water hole is the Stitched Pond! Check out the supply list below for all the sets used on these cards!

The Magic Iris opens behind the Andy’s room scene to reveal the western sheriff’s office! Mayra included lots of the Toy Story characters including RAWR as Rex, Buzz is the astronaut from Out of This World, Hamm is from Hay There, the little alien from Beam Me Up and of course Woody and Jessie are from Screen Time!

This fun slimline design depicts Pizza Planet! You’re Claw-some is filled with the little aliens. The claw slides back and forth to grab the aliens. The Sweet Smiles gumball machine and How You Bean? mason jar filled with stars are both shakers!

Thank you so much, Mayra! These cards are just amazing and absolutely inspiring! You have been an amazing Guest Designer!

There are still two weeks left for the Interactive Card challenge! It will be open until Sunday, July 5th at 11:59PM ET. We hope you will join us!
