Cherries Jubilee with Sam M.

We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your own creations at the end of the challenge post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils, and papers. This challenge will run for 3 weeks and be open until Sunday, September 6th, at 11:59 pm ET.

Samantha Mann here, with a cherries jubilee card!

I started by stamping the images from Be Hap-pea and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. But instead of coloring them green to be peas (as intended), I colored them in warm reds to be cherries!! So fun! Once the images were dry, I used a white gel pen to add extra details and then die-cut them out. 
I also stamped a bunch of balloon strings from the Really High Five and die-cut them for cherry stems! I thought that was a fun idea to try out!

For the background, I used Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron. I ink blended with the darkest shade on the outside and the lightest in the middle. Then I used the same inks and added some with water and a piece of clear packaging to get the watercolor look. And once it was dry, I went over it all again with ink blending to get the super-saturated look!


To create the sentiment, I die-cut the ‘cherry’ letters using Henry’s ABCs and some Peach Cardstock, then used Abandoned Coral Distress Ink to add some ombre color.
The rest of the sentiment was stamped and heat embossed in white from the Fairy Friends stamp set. The letters and the sentiment strips were popped up with foam tape, and everything else was attached directly to the card.
