Jenn’s Bright Summertime Fun Card

Jenn shares an awesome Summertime Fun card to inspire your weekend crafting! The Summertime Fun challenge wraps up on Sunday, August 2 at 11:59PM ET. There’s still time to enter!

Jenn combined I Scream You Scream with Stitched Rainbow to create some fun summertime treats! Her awesome watermelon uses just three “bows” and half of a circle inked up in pretty pink inks! Those shiny watermelon seeds are the smiley face “cheeks” included in the Stitched Rainbow die set. They are cut from Black Licorice cardstock and coated with Glossy Accents; such a clever detail!

This popsicle looks so yummy! Jenn ink blended summery colors, then kicked up the fun with Tim Holtz Rock Candy glitter and more Glossy Accents!

The greeting is a combination of Big Scripty Words and Quinn’s ABCs! She stamped the large Quinn’s letters in Sunflower ink and filled them in with Prisma Glitter!

Thanks so much, Jenn, for sharing this super happy design filled with favorite summer treats!

A new challenge starts on Monday, August 3 with amazing Design Team inspiration!

Christy’s Beautiful Beach Scene!

Hey friends, it’s Christy with another card for our Summertime Fun Challenge! Last time I took you to a watermelon patch in Gnome Village. This time I’m taking you to the beach! I combined images from Life is Good, Fintastic Friends, and On the Beach. I stamped them all in Jet Black ink, colored them up with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I blended Distress Oxide inks onto a Bristol Smooth Surface Panel. I used Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand, and Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers for the sea/sky. To create the rough line of the sand, I used a piece of torn masking paper. And I also did some splatter detail on the lower half to give it that sandy look.

I trimmed the focal panel down with the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables, and stamped my sentiment from On the Beach and a trio of seagull silhouettes from Life is Good at the top. I also cut down a piece of Really Rainbow patterned paper with the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I adhered the paper to my Mermaid card base and popped the focal panel up with foam tape. Then I adhered my images with the Glue Tube.

And that’s it! If you’d like to watch this card come together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. We hope you’ll play along in our Summertime Fun challenge! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful card with us today, Christy! It’s the perfect inspiration!
