Jessica’s Happy Halloween Inspiration!

Our Halloween/Fall Inspiration challenge will close this Sunday, October 18th at 11:59PM ET. Happy Crafting Fawnatics Friends!

Good morning!  Jess here with a card for our current Halloween/Fall inspiration challenge!  I used three of the photos as inspiration for my spooky scene today!

To start I blended black soot distress oxide ink over the cloud stencil on a panel of Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock to create my sky.  I used a blending brush to keep my blending very light.  I die-cut a circle from Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock and blended squeezed lemonade and mustard seed distress oxide ink over the circle to create my moon.  I splattered it with water and blotted off the excess to give it a little texture.  Next I die-cut the Stitched Tree Borders from Black Licorice cardstock and the Little Town Border from Black Licorice and Sunflower cardstock.  I adhered my moon to the background and then added the tree and town.  Then I inlaid the little windows and doors to recreate the skies and glowing windows from the inspiration photo!

Next I stamped images from Fox Costumes Before ‘n Afters, Costume Party, and Happy Harvest with Versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I colored them with Copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.  I added a few accents with a white gel pen and then added them to my scene with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape.  I finished the card with a sentiment from Costume Party stamped and heat-embossed with white embossing powder!

And that’s it!  You have one more weekend to get crafty and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!

Lawn Fawn Challenge 86 – Halloween and Fall Inspiration

Happy Monday Fawnatics friends! It’s that time of year to create spooky crafty fun! Our theme for this challenge is Halloween and Fall Inspiration (because not everyone is into Halloween). Please use this fantastic inspiration board that Jenn created to get your creativity flowing!

We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, October 18th at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

We have a wonderful Guest Designer for this challenge! Yay! Please help us welcome Peter of Peter’s Treasury! You can find his fantastic designs at his YouTube channel and on Instagram! Now let’s check out his fabulous interactive Reveal Wheel Card!

Peter set the scene for this fun ghostly design with some stenciling using our Cloudy Stencil and Brick Stencil and Spooky Fence! The scene is filled with the Booyah ghosts and pumpkins from Happy Harvest and Costume Party!

Peter created a video tutorial for this card; to watch it at his YouTube channel, please click HERE.

Now let’s see how our Design Team was inspired by this new challenge!

Caly was inspired to re-create the beautiful leaves from the inspiration board! This gorgeous, clean and simple slimline design features Stitched Leaves with a fun watercolor look! Caly added some rustic twine to hang the leaves from to mimic the look of the photo!

Christy also was inspired by the colorful leaves in the challenge board! She created an adorable woodland scene with Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop and all the leaves cut from bright cardstock! Then she filled the scene with images from Den Sweet Den, Let’s Go Nuts, Mom + Me and Happy Harvest!

Franci was inspired by the spooky clouds to create a super cute and totally not spooky scene! She combined Car Critters with Booyah and some Happy Harvest pumpkins. To finish her whimsical design she stamped some bats from Tiny Halloween!

Wow, check out that awesome moonlit night sky! Jessica‘s card is super spooky cute with Fox Costumes Before ‘n Afters! She created the scene with Build-A-House and the Halloween Add-On. In the background she added Stitched Tree Border and Leafy Tree Backdrop.

Joyce created a cute trick or treat scene that is all treat! She used Spooky Village and Tiny Halloween to make the little scene in the background. Then she filled the foreground with cute images from Costume Party and Happy Howloween!

Karin set the scene for this clean and simple design using Village Border and stenciled clouds! How cute is that Let’s Go Nuts squirrel collecting little Spooky Village pumpkins rather that nuts!

The squirrels are trick or treating with their friends from Fox Costumes Before ‘n Afters in Samantha C‘s awesome design! That glittery Outside In Stitched Pumpkin is amazing!

Samantha M went for colorful clouds as a backdrop for her Halloween card! The cute little pumpkins are from Costume Party and Happy Howloween!

Jenn‘s card is a less spooky Lawn Fawn version of the inspiration photo! She re-created the clouds with the Cloudy Stencil and added the houses from Spooky Village! The finishing touch is the Trick or Treat Border!

We will share Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 85 tomorrow!
