Karin chose a CAS style for her charming birthday card. She stamped the Wild for You critters, water colored them and then painted in some sweet surroundings!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful card with us today, Karin!

I hope you are inspired today to try some watercolor painting and add your project to our challenge! Challenge 7 – Watercolor will be open until Sunday, July 2 at 11:59PM PDT.
Happy stamping (and water coloring) Have a creative weekend!

A Cute Watercolor Picnic by Roxanne!

We are so happy to welcome Roxanne O’Brien to our Lawn Fawnatics Design Team! She is an original team member but she needed to delay her debut with us. Here’s a little about Roxanne:

I live in Lake in the Hills, IL with my husband of 15 years, 2 sons (12, 7) and our pup Finn and 3 cats. I’m a graphic designer turned family photographer. I just switched creative gears! I’m also a den leader for my youngest for Cub Scouts which I truly enjoy. I love coffee, Halloween, fall weather, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and my favorite is Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. I’m a geek at heart. I love paper crafting especially with various forms of watercolor, and when I do scrapbook, my most favorite are mini albums. You can find my creative paper-crafting on my blog Organized Chaos and I’m also on Instagram @newleaftog. I’m very excited to be joining all these amazingly talented ladies!

Roxanne created a super cute Let’s BBQ card with a fun watercolor backdrop that would be perfect for July 4th and summer BBQs!

I wanted the background to be bright so I mimicked a gingham tablecloth that you see at summer picnics using Distress Ink and a paintbrush and water brush pen to create the design. The ketchup is so happy to be with the burger on the little plate. And the punny sentiment, come on. We should ketchup. We totally should!

Thank you so much, Roxanne! Your card is adorable and so fun!

Our current Watercolor Challenge #7 will be open until July 2 at 11:59PM PDT. We hope you will join us and share your crafty projects featuring watercolor!

Happy Crafting!

Beautiful Watercolor Card with Christy

Christy joins us today to share a fabulous Upon a Star design!

Hello, everyone, Christy here. For today’s card I wanted to use Upon A Star, and I thought it might be pretty to use some shimmery watercolors. The ones I own are the Twinkling H2Os, but there are lots of brands of shimmer paints on the market right now, so you could easily find something similar if you don’t already have it in your stash.

I painted my background with a wash of color using green, turquoise, blue, and purple shades, then painted the two foxes with a combination of a rusty red and golden orange. Once those were dry, I white heat embossed a selection of stars, as well as part of my sentiment on the background panel, then finished the sentiment on a scrap of black cardstock.

To finish things off I die cut my panel with the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies, and adhered it to a Black Licorice card base. I hope you like it!

You still have a few days left to play along in our Watercolor challenge. I can’t wait to see what you create!

Thank you so much for sharing with us today, Christy!
Our Watercolor Challenge 7 will be open until 11:59 PM PT on Sunday July 2.
